The Patela Care Foundation Confront and Conquer Childhood Cancer Awareness walk CACCAW 2022 in collaboration with Oyo State Ministry of Health, Pediatric Oncology Unit UCH, Radiation Oncology Department UCH Ibadan, Psycho Oncology Society of Nigeria POSON, Nigerian Cancer Society NCS, Dove-Haven Foundation DHF, Breast Cancer Association of Nigeria BRECAN, Medical Precious Consult, Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN), The Methodist Secondary School Ibadan, The AIl Souls High School Ibadan and The Vale College Ibadan was an inspiring event with positive impactful ripple events.

The event started with a 2km awareness walk from Foodco Bodija to the Oyo State Secretariat. The walk was led by senior secondary school students from our partner schools, Oyo State government officials and members from all our partners. At the State Secretariat we had a health talk about childhood cancer and the need for all stakeholders to improve access to care. This was chaired by the Oyo State Commissioner for Health, represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Oyo State Ministry of Health.
