Patela Care Foundation was honoured to be part of the commemoration ceremony of World Refugee Day June 2022 hosted by the National Commission for Migrants, Refugees and IDPs , South West Zone Lagos(NCFRMI) and United Nations Refugees Agency (UNHCR).
The theme for this year “The right to seek safety” was rienterated by the commission, CSO, NGOs present at the remarkable event.

Dr Foluke Sarimiye in her good will message expressed her admiration of the courage and resilience the forcibly displaced persons demostrate in rebuilding their lives.
She encouraged stakeholders to keep up the good work of protecting the honour and rights of “Persons of Concern”.
Dr Foluke Sarimiye rienterated the commitment of Patela Care Foundation in providing Psychosocial Care and Health Education, not limited to but particularly in the area of #CancerControl, to Persons of Concern.
The Occasion was inspiring; listening to forcibly displaced persons, adults and children share their stories, their journey and hope for a better future. It was also a time of relaxation and entertainment as we watched them
participate in football match, track events and many more side attractions.
Present at the event were distinguished representatives of UNHCR, NCFRMI, Red Cross , CSOs and NGOs and the Media.
To receive Patela Care Foundation’s relief materials were : NCFRMI South West Zonal Coordinator Mrs Erinfolami Ola, Abraham Ushie – Data Clerical Officer, Musa Zubair – Protection Office, Head of Community Service Unit, Alex Oturu – Head of Migration Unit and Julius Olubajo – Protection Office, Head of Protection Unit.
