Patela Care Foundation

Today, as I ponder on International Women’s day, I ask myself “What does being a woman mean in today’s world. What does it mean to be a woman at all?!”

Even as I ponder on what we do here at Patela, the role is simple but yet profound. It is enriching lives.
Like beautiful threads weave into tapestry, their intricate roles and impact weaves into society.
From the living room of homes where women nurture family and loved ones, through boardrooms of organizations where women cultivate colleagues and accomplish missions to the rooms they make for others in society where women empower the less privileged and the marginalized – in all of this, enriching lives.

Even though women are known to make room for others, it has not been easy to get into the rooms themselves! Breaking through barriers however, they go against all odds to enter into rooms that seemed to have no space for them.
So woman, whether you are young or old, rich or poor, famous or not, Rise up. Whether in your home, school, office, organization, business, ministry, society, Rise up.

Irrespective of your environment, experience, education, expertise, affluence, Rise up.
Rise up daughter, sister, mother
Rise up in your own little corner
Rise up for you are inspiring another
Rise up, because you are enriching others
Welldone! Women everywhere

Thank you for doing your share.
