The life of a lecturer; publish or perish is definitely not  my favourite slogan/catchphrase. However, demystifying misconceptions, misinformation and empowering people with truth, knowledge and life lessons; please count me in all day. It’s definitely one of mine  passions, pursuits and focus.

So engaging with the brilliant minds of University College Hospital (UCH) Staff Secondary School managed by Child’splay mini schools  was fulfilling.

We had  educative,  interactive sections on debunking cancer myths, misconceptions , misinformation, the importance of screening, vaccinations  for some cancers, early detection, signs and symptoms to look out for, prompt treatment and patient navigation.

The students and staffs definitely were more enlightened and  better equipped to make informed decisions.
